白橡木木紋較粗曠所以很多的鄉村家具都喜歡使用這種木紋，其質重、硬、強韌、耐衝。，由於紋理美觀具光澤，故為室內裝璜所樂用。白橡木的心材通常為灰褐色、邊材通常為白色。
櫻桃木的心材顏色由豔紅色至棕紅色,日曬後顏色變深。相反,其白木質呈奶白色。櫻桃木具有細緻均勻直紋,紋理平滑。心材屬具抗腐力木材。常見於傢俱及箱櫃製造、高級細木工製品、廚櫃、地板、門、樂器、車製品及雕刻品。
